This piece draws on my experiences with electroacoutsic composition and attempts to replicate certain digital effects acoustically. This section of the piece primarily deals with reverb and delay effects. Listeners follow musical lines which cause sound-shadows in the orchestra, and over time the parameters of these 'reverbs' change and develop. Instruments also 'resample' a melodic line, presenting similar versions of a musical phrase simultaneously. Sounds relating to time-stretching are explored later in the work by developing textures within harmonically- static masses of orchestral sound.
